Lauren P. Curley, 59, of Cohasset, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Born on May 6, 1966, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the eldest daughter of Dennis and Margaret “Peg” Bradley. Lauren moved to the beautiful shores of Cohasset in seventh grade, a place she would forever call home. She graduated from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and went on to build a successful career spanning more than 30 years in public relations.
Lauren met her husband, Joseph “Joe” M. Curley, while living in Beacon Hill. They were married on October 23rd 1993, and later returned to Cohasset, where they became deeply involved in the community, most notably through the Cohasset Yacht Club. Lauren could often be found sitting on the porch with her camera, capturing boats as they returned from races, a simple joy that reflected her appreciation for beauty and tradition.
Together, Lauren and Joe raised their two daughters, Madeline and Margaret. Their marriage was one of deep partnership until Joe’s passing in 2017.
In her free time, Lauren was rarely without a needlepoint canvas in hand, whether on the beach or at her favorite local needlepoint store. She had a zest for life and a love for the arts, often attending exhibits and events throughout Massachusetts. Most recently, she took up Mahjong and looked forward to her regular Wednesday night games with friends.
Lauren is survived by her daughters, Madeline Schoenhut and her husband Chris, and Margaret Curley and her fiancé Matt; along with extended family members and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 25th at St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church, 10 Summer Street, Cohasset, at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lauren’s memory may be made to the Sandy Beach Association cohassetsandybeach.com
