Leo F. Baldwin, 85, of Hingham, loving husband of Marjorie (Cox) Baldwin passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010, at South Shore Hospital, surrounded by his loving family following a sudden illness. Leo was born and raised in Dorchester, MA, son of the late Patrick and Josephine (Powers) Baldwin. He was a Hingham resident for 20 years and prior to that he resided in Scituate for 37 years. He retired from Kuehne and Nagel 25 years ago where he was involved in the freight forwarding business.
A US Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the 158th Combat Engineering Battalion and served in five European campaigns, including the Battle of the Bulge. Leo was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed New England sports, a nice dinner out, and spending time with his family. He leaves his son, Jeffrey Baldwin and his wife Patricia of Scituate, and three daughters, Christine St Pierre and her husband Philip of Brookline, Bonnie Spence and her husband Jay of Pembroke, and Susan Spence and her husband Robert of Sherborn. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Kate Baldwin of Cambridge, Allison and Sarah Baldwin of Scituate, Gabrielle and Simone St Pierre, Jared, Emily and Margaret Spence, and Liam and Colleen Spence. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings, Margaret, Joseph, James, Rita, William, and Mary.
Visiting hours
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at McNamara Sparrell Funeral Home, Cohasset.

Service Information
A Funeral from McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church) on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate, MA.
Internment with military honors in Cudworth Cemetery, Scituate
