Leo leaves behind his devoted wife of 62 years, Jane (McCarthy) McNiff. He was the loving father of the late Leo McNiff, Karen McNiff of Pembroke, and Paul McNiff and his wife, Liz, of Weymouth. He went on to serve as the Director of the Tax Title Division in the City of Boston Law Department for 36 years. After retiring from the city, Leo continued working with Louison and Costello Law in Boston and also served for many years as an Assessor for the Town of Scituate.
For many years, Leo and Jane enjoyed spending their winter months in Sarasota, Florida. During that time, Leo proudly served on the board of his condominium association. He was a proud member of the Rev. Charles O’Brien Knights of Columbus, Council #4719 and an avid and loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.
Leo was an incredibly bright and humorous man. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
