Lloyd McLean Huskins, Jr., of Centerville, MA and formerly of Cohasset, age 68, loving father of Larissa Huskins Wilson, cherished "grand-daddy" of Abby & Ryan Wilson and beloved partner of Robyne Ryley, passed away suddenly on April 5, 2015.
Lloyd had been spending the winter months in the warmth of Marco Island, FL enjoying fishing and boating. His passion for fishing and the open water was contagious. He loved to captain his boat and take friends and family out for cruises in the Marco River in the winter and the waters of the South Shore/Boston Harbor in the summer. An over the road professional driver, Lloyd enjoyed driving not only for work but also for pleasure. He looked forward to the yearly trek to and from Florida. He spent many years driving across the country along side his younger brother and friend Tim.
He also worked as an Arborist for the Cohasset Tree and Park department. Lloyd served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1965-1969. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, Helen (Murphy) and Lloyd Sr., and his brother Tim. Lloyd will be greatly missed by his family; his daughter Larissa and son-in-law Jimmy Wilson; his grandchildren Abby & Ryan Wilson; his partner Robyne Ryley; his sister-in-law Jane Huskins; his niece Emily Huskins Burke and nephew Jonathan Huskins; his former wife Jerilyn Huskins and all his extended family and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony's church in Cohasset on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Massachusetts Audubon Society.
