Louise Painter, originally from New Brighton, Pennsylvania, died at home Thursday morning, February 13th, 2025 after a long illness in the company of her husband, Jeff Keller.

She was 78 years old and was born in New Brighton, Pennsylvania to parents Burton C. Painter and Suzanne H. Painter.  Louise attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Welfare in 1969. Louise was a strong supporter of women's rights.

She spent time working in restaurants in and around Boston including the Warren Tavern in Charlestown, the Alewife in Norwell and the Ristorante Navona in Hingham pursuing her culinary interests.  She also worked at the Norwell Smokehouse for a number of years.

"She was a wonderful person," Jeff recalled, full of happiness and life.  She loved people and interacting with them, going for walks on the beach, driving around the South Shore in search of a particular farm stand, cooking a new dish for dinner or just reading a book.  She was fun to be around."  She leaves her sister, Estelle Painter in Cleveland Heights. She was predeceased by her brother Burton C. Painter, III.
