Malcolm Frank Hall, age 88, of Hanover, formerly of Scituate, passed away on July 8, 2014. Beloved husband of Barbara Matheny Hall and the late Ruth Wallace Hall. Devoted father of Malcolm Trask Hall, II and wife Sue of Maine; Christopher James Hall and wife Annette of Louisiana; Jennifer Ruth Hall of South Dakota. Also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hall was a retired Scituate Fire Fighter and EMT, serving on the Scituate Fire Dept for 29 years. Malcolm was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps, serving in WW II. He was a member of the Satuit Lodge of Masons, AF-AM and an 80 year resident of Scituate. Malcolm also worked as a plumber and lobsterman with his father. He was also a past president of the Scituate Housing. His other accomplishments include, Past Grand Master of the Scituate Lodge, past member of the St. Steven Royal Arch Chapter, past president of the South Shore Shriners Club, and a recipient of the Joseph Warren Medal, and Scottish Rite. Malcolm was also a past patron of the Dorothy Bradford Chapter of OES in Hingham, and the Pilgrim Chapter of OES in East Bridgewater.
Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 4 pm in St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Hanover, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Malcolm may be made to the Stephen J. Matheny Scholarship Fund, 1079 Webster St., Hanover, MA. 02339.
