Malcolm J. "Mal" MacDonald, of Cohasset, age 80, passed away on June 7, 2013. Devoted husband for 59 years of Elizabeth A. (Dugas). Loving father of Sharon Stodell and husband Steven of Florida, Joy Finegan and husband Tom of Scituate, Sandy MacDonald of Plymouth, Mike MacDonald of Attleboro, Barbara Backer and husband Dietmar, of Canton, and Dave MacDonald and wife Chrissy of Attleboro. Also survived by ten grandchildren. Brother of Joanne MacDonald of Lexington and Louis MacDonald of Florida.

Mr. MacDonald worked as an electrical engineer. He was a member of the South Shore Astronomy Club. He also served in the US Army as a Corporal and was a veteran of Korea.

Relatives and Friends invited to attend visiting hours at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. 02025 on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 4-7 pm with a Prayer Service held at 6:30 pm. Private Interment at Union Cemetery, Scituate, MA
