Marcy Edge Eaton of Whitman, age 52, passed away on July 22, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Marcy is remembered by her two daughters, Kassidy and Riley Eaton of Hanson and their father Tim, her devoted mother, Patti O'Rourke of Scituate, her father Bill Edge and his wife Johanna of New Jersey, her sister Jennifer Savage and brother David Edge, both of Scituate, and her many beloved nieces and nephews.  Her smile and laugh are also remembered fondly by a close extended family of Aunts, Uncles, In-Laws, and Cousins throughout the US and Canada.

Marcy loved just sitting on the beach. Of all the beautiful beaches she had been to in her lifetime, Nantasket was her favorite. Marcy was known for her sense of humor, her ability to laugh at herself, and her joy for adding special bits of fun to any event. An old friend remarked: If you asked Marcy's opinion, she had one, and she always told you the truth!

Marcy had a life-long career giving so much of herself to support others. She was a 1989 graduate of Silver Lake High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Social Services from Colorado State University followed by her Master's Degree in Education from Fitchburg State University. This led to her long career as a Special Education Teacher working with preschool children with Autism in Quincy Public schools. On the side, she was everyone's favorite fun, sassy, and entertaining waitress in several South Shore Restaurants.

Marcy loved her family, her students, and her customers - always wishing everyone Peace, Love, and Happiness, while seeking that for herself.

Services:

A wake will be held on Friday August 11th from 4-7pm at: McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street, Cohasset MA 02025

She will also be remembered at the traditional Saturday noon Mass on August 12th at:

Glastonbury Abbey, 16 Hull St, Hingham MA 02043

An Internment Service, where memories and music will be shared and Marcy will be laid to rest, will immediately follow at 1pm.

A celebration of life will be held later that afternoon at a private residence.
