Margaret M. Bongarzone (Claflin) of Scituate, Rockland and Naples, FL passed peacefully on December 30, 2024.  She leaves behind her loving husband Donald Bongarzone of 55 years, their children, Gina Bongarzone (Pat) of Rockland and Amy Bongarzone of Spring Hill, FL.  Margo also leaves behind her children with the late Thomas McCarthy, Maura Magill (Ray) of Naples, FL, Thomas McCarthy, Jr. (Sally) of Marshfield, Kevin McCarthy of Hanover, and Glen McCarthy (Peg) of Marshfield. She is survived by her siblings Catherine "Trina" Basler-Stewart (Peter) of Scituate, Diane Murphy (Stanton) of South Yarmouth, Ricky MacDonald (Doreen) of New Hampshire and loving sister-in-law Janet Claflin.  She is predeceased by her parents James W. and Margaret (Breen) Claflin, Frederick MacDonald, her brother James "Jimo" Claflin and Jane Marie McGregor.  Margo was a loving stepmother to Donnie Bongarzone (Rainey), Cheryl Sargent (Richard), Michael Bongarzone, Kevin Bongarzone (Deirdre) and Chuck Bongarzone.  Margo leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Margo always had different types of jobs over the years. She worked as a teacher's aide at Esten School, she drove the bus for special education students for the Town of Rockland and drove the trolley in Plymouth.  When Donald and Margo retired to Naples, Florida they spent 32 wonderful years there making lifelong friends at Enchanting Acres as well as Tory's Hair Care Salon where she worked for 19 years.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Life Teen SMASH, 392 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA 02339.  Life Teen was a big part of her Grandchildren, Alison and Bryan's teen years. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 18th at Our Lady of the Angels-St. Mary's Church, 392 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA  02339 at 10 am followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Scituate.
