Obituary

Margaret A. Kovaleski (Peirce) 88, of Timonium, MD, formerly of Scituate and Hingham, died peacefully at Gilchrist Hospice Center, Towson MD on July 16, 2010 surrounded by her family and loved ones.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years; Walter F. Kovaleski of Timonium, MD, her devoted children: Steven Kovaleski, Catherine Fisher and husband Robert, Marilyn Talabis and husband Raymond. Loving grandmother of Michael J. Kovaleski and Maria Kelly Talabis. Godmother of Kathleen D. Stockfleth of Duxbury, MA. Sister of Catherine P. Carey of CA. and Martha A. Sullivan of CT, along with many nieces and nephews and beloved friends.

She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Agnes (Kelly) Peirce of Scituate MA, the sister of the late Mary A. Driscoll of Scituate MA, and the beloved niece of the Michael J. Kelly family of Hingham MA. Margaret was born and raised in Scituate, MA. Graduate of Scituate High School, class of 1939 and Bryant and Stratton Junior College, Boston, MA. She worked at the Bethlehem Steel Shipyard, Quincy, MA where she met her husband and made her home in Hingham, MA before moving to Maryland in 1968.

Margaret enjoyed caring for her family, gardening, sewing, collecting recipes, listening to her music and was devoted to her Catholic Faith. She taught Sunday school at St. Mary's of the Nativity in Scituate, MA. She was the proud owner and caretaker of the Historic "Littlest House" in Hingham, MA before selling it to be restored by Ben Wilcox of Hingham, MA. We are all grateful to God who blessed us with such a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours

Visiting hours are from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 20 at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, I Summer St., (across from St. Anthony's Church), Cohasset, MA.

Donations in her memory may be made to Gilchrist Hospice Care, 11311 McCormick Road, Suite 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.

Service Information

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon, Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at St. Mary's of the Nativity, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor.

Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Scituate.
