Margaret (Weekly) Bates of Cohasset died February 20 at Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham at the age of 85.

Predeceased by her husband Lot E. Bates of Cohasset and parents Claire and Violet French Weekly of Nebraska. Survived by her Stepdaughter, Winifred Bates of Auburn, MA, brothers, George Weekly of Lincoln, NE and Charles Weekly of Sun City, AZ and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret graduated  nursing school at Lincoln General School of Nursing, Lincoln, NE   She then had special nursing training at Boston Lying-In Hospital in Boston.

Margaret was a long time resident of Cohasset and a member of the Second Congregational Church, Cohasset.  Having been born in Nebraska she moved to Massachusetts – living in Boston and Plymouth. She was a nurse for many years at the Boston Lying in Hospital and Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.

Services for Margaret are planned for later this spring and will be private. Donations may be made to one of Margaret's favorite groups - a non-profit organization dedicated to the training and placement of assistance dogs for people with disabilities K9s 4 Mobility, 3928 Dey Avenue, Cheyenne, WY 82009.
