Marie Regina (Donovan) Castelnovo, 82, of Norwell, passed away on September 28, 2013 after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Castelnovo. Marie is survived by her 2 children, Anne Marie Castelnovo of Rockland, and Edward Castelnovo of Norwell, her sister, Elizabeth C. Donovan of Dorchester, MA, as well as 12 nieces and nephews. She was sister to the late Rev. Daniel Donovan, CSSR. and Edward Donovan.

Marie was born on May 4, 1931 to the late Daniel and Delia (Rochford) Donovan.

She graduated from Matignon High School, Cambridge, MA in 1949, and worked as an executive secretary in advertising at John Hancock. For many years, both Marie and her late husband enjoyed working as antique dealers. She raised her family in Weymouth, MA and later retired to Northport, FL. Marie's family and friends would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care given by the staff at Mt. Sinai Rehabilitation in Stoughton, MA.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at 9:30 am in Sacred Heart Church, Commercial and Washington St., Weymouth, MA. Visiting hours Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. Interment Village Cemetery, Weymouth.
