Marie T. (Morrissy) McGrail, age 90, of Scituate, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2017. Wife of the late Stephen McGrail of Scituate. Marie leaves with loving memories, her children, Stephen McGrail (Pat) of Dennis, Patricia Thompson (Raymond) of Scituate, deceased James McGrail (Linda ) Kathleen Keddy (James) of West Springfield, Maureen Gomes (David) of Hanover, and Jeanne O'Connell (Michael) of Hingham. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Rita Howes of Rockland, J.David Morrissy of Virginia, deceased Francis Morrissy and James Morrissy Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marie worked as a bookkeeper for South Shore Auto for many years, just retiring two years ago. She held a Associates Degree in accounting from Bentley College. Marie spent many years teaching CCD, being an extraordinary minister and staying active in the Women's Guild of St. Mary of the Nativity. Her charity work included cooking meals and visiting with the homeless at Pine Street Inn. Marie also enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, fishing, boating and the last few years enjoyed flying in her son's plane. After retiring from raising her children Marie loved traveling with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Marie on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 4-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset and again on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 9 am before leaving in procession for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor at 10 am. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Scituate. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Marie may be made to Pine Street Inn. www.pinestreetinn.org/donate.
