Marilyn K. (O'Neill) Fitzgerald, age 83, of Norwell, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2013 at home surrounded by family. Marilyn was the beloved wife of the late Edward C. Fitzgerald and the adoring mother of James E. "Jef" Fitzgerald and his wife, Robbin of Norwell, and Scott Fitzgerald and Tamara Milot of Standish , Maine. She was the devoted twin sister of Marion V. O'Neill of Norwell, formerly of Hilton Head, So. Carolina and the sister of the  late Audrey Pickett, Elizabeth Bund and Paul O'Neill. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Stephen and Karen Fitzgerald of Norwell and Taylor and Hayley Fitzgerald of Belgrade ME. Marilyn was the beloved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was a well-known real estate agent in Norwell and throughout the South Shore. She was an avid golfer and belonged to several local country clubs. Marilyn loved to read and one of her favorite things to do was reading a good book on a summers day.

She also enjoyed volunteering at "Fred the Shed"  at the Norwell Public Library

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10:00 am in the United Church of Christ, 460 Main St. (Rt. 123), Norwell, MA. 02061. The Family would like to invite those attending the service to honor Marilyn by wearing something with the color Pink, a tie, a scarf, a shirt, etc.

Visiting hours Friday, February 15, 2013 from 3-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Marilyn may be made to the Friends of the Norwell Public Library, 64 South Street, Norwell, MA. 02061 .
