Marion Carroll Hailer of Scituate, MA passed away on February 3rd, 2013.  Marion was an avid golfer her whole life, making her first 'hole in one' at the age of thirteen.  She was the longest lifetime member of Hatherly Country Club and won several golf club and state tournaments throughout her life.  She was a member of the Scituate Harbor Yacht club and the Algonquin Club of Boston.  She graduated from Vassar College in 1941.   She enjoyed playing bridge and reading, but more than anything she enjoyed her 7 children, 23 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Marion was the beloved wife of the late 'Sonny' Florin J Hailer Jr, loving mother of Andy Hailer of Scituate; Fred Hailer of Boston; Mary Lee Pestone and her husband Bill of Scituate; Beth Clarke and her husband Scott of Mountain View, CA; June Powers and her husband Charlie of Scituate; Janet Mahony and her husband Jim of Yardley, PA; and the late Nancy Gray and her husband Robert of NYC.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 8th, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at McNamara-Sparrell  Funeral Home, 1 Summer St., Cohasset, MA.

Burial was held at Cudworth Cemetery, Scituate. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marion's name may be made to the Cardigan Nursing & Rehab. Activities Fund, 59 Country Way, Scituate MA 02066.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 22, 2013 at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset.
