Marion Kerr Nawn, of Scituate, age 79, August 19, 2010, after a courageous two-year battle with Leukemia. She was the beloved mother of Karen Nawn-Fahey of Vermont, Lisa Nawn Dickinson of Worcester, Kevin Nawn of Dubai, Heidi Nawn Branca of Hanson, Wendy Nawn Grace of Scituate, and Bill Nawn of New Hampshire. Marion was the loving "Nana" of 13 grandchildren. She was the sister of Catherine Kerr Browne of Florida, Thomas J. Kerr of Washington, and William A. Kerr Jr. of New York and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Marion was the devoted daughter of the late William A. Kerr and Marion Savage Kerr.
Marion was a graduate of Simmons College, Class of 1952. In her youth, Marion was an outstanding tennis player and played for many years with her family at Longwood Cricket Club, Brookline, MA. She translated that love to coaching the girls' tennis team at Archbishop Williams High School, Braintree, MA and then teaching tennis at the Scituate Tennis Club. She and her family also spent summers at the Buffalo Canoe Club, in Buffalo, NY.
Her life focus was her family, and she enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events and baking for family and friends. She was an active participant in the ongoing vigil at St. Frances X. Cabrini Parish in Scituate. Marion dedicated many hours to making hats, scarves, and blankets for numerous charitable organizations. She was an avid reader and a source of inspiration and wisdom to all.
Visiting hours
As requested, there will be no visiting hours; however, those interested in paying their respects to the family may do so after the prayer service.

Service Information
A Prayer Service to celebrate Marion's life will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 12 noon at St. Frances X. Cabrini Parish in Scituate.
