Mark Stephen Batts, Sr., age 73, of Hingham, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025. Beloved father of Mark S. Batts Jr. of Londonderry, NH, Nicole Keane of Braintree, and Jarrod Batts and wife Michelle of Brandy Station, VA. Loving Puppa of Jesse, Selena, Ariana, Ryan, Caitlin, and Aaron. Loving great-grandfather of Orion and Persephone. Beloved brother of Kathy Knorr, Mary Batts, Shawn Batts, and the late Robert, Michael, William and John Batts. Also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his former spouse, Janice Nardo Batts.

Born and raised in Hingham, Mark attended St. Paul School and Hingham High School. Mark loved all things baseball and softball. He enjoyed coaching for decades and loved playing softball in the Hingham, Hull and Scituate leagues.  Mark was a Master Electrician; starting his career with Studley Electric which he later turned into his own company, Batts Electric. Although he considered himself a terrible golfer, he did once get a hole in one!

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025 from 4-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. 02025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 10 am in St. Paul Church, 147 North Street, Hingham, MA. 02043. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Mark may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA. 02215.
