Mary DeAbre Arcand died in Scituate on April 24, 2014. She was born in Brookline, MA, on May 21, 1918, attended Brookline and Brighton schools, Chandler Jr. College and Lesley School of Design. Mary was an Assistant Buyer at R.H.Stearns of Boston and later became Manager and Assistant Treasurer of the Cohasset branch of the Rockland Trust Co. Mary had been a former active member of the Cohasset Drama Club, the South Shore Art Center, and the M.F.A. of Boston and was active in the Scituate Historical Society and the Panagia Philoptochos of Cohasset. She was the sister of the late Edgar R. DeAbre. She was preceded in death by her sons Wallace and Gary Arcand. Mary is survived by her children Thomas Arcand of Scituate and Michelle Arcand Vancura of Texas. Mary has six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew and many dear and loving friends. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at St. Anthony's Parish in Cohasset, at 10 o'clock in the morning.
