Mary T. (Boles) O'Connor, age 82, of Scituate, formerly of Brighton passed suddenly at home on June 7, 2014. Beloved wife of the late James P. O'Connor. Beloved sister of the Most Reverend Bishop John P. Boles, DD of Regina Cleri, Boston. Loving mother of Joseph P. O'Connor and wife, Rose Marie of Stoneham; Anne M. O'Connor and partner Jane Woods of White River Junction, VT.; James G. O'Connor of Hyde Park. Grandmother of Frederick J., Joseph A. and Rosemarie O'Connor. Cousin of Harry Brett of Braintree, Margaret McCobb of Weymouth, Mary McCarthy of Quincy, William Brett of Hingham, James T. Brett of Dorchester, and the late John P. Brett.

Graduate of University of Massachusetts at the age of 72 with a Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude. Chaplain at South Shore Hospital and extensively involved at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate Harbor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11 am in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor. Visiting hours Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 4-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. Interment St Mary Cemetery, Salem, MA.
