Mary Frances Duff-Hoelschen, of Hingham, passed away in the comfort of her home and Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday November 12th, 2023.

Funeral service/wake will be held at McNamara-Sparrell funeral home in Cohasset, M.A. on Thursday Nov. 30th. From 4pm-8pm.  Father Hein of St. Anthony's church will host mass for Mary at 10am Friday Dec. 1st.  Followed by her burial at Woodside Cemetery down the street where she grew up, a place in faith, and she had hoped she would eventually be placed.

Mary was born in Hingham, M.A. to James and Helen Duff on December 5th 1957.  She was the youngest daughter of 9 loving brothers and sisters. She had a love for swimming, cooking, salt water fishing and in recent years, crocheting. She attended Notre Dame Academy, and later obtained credits from Harvard Subsidiary College. She became a dedicated designer of electrical components for defense and aerospace systems. Her work included projects for Raytheon and Teradyne, including mechanics for the Patriot missile, which you probably heard her speak of on occasion. Mary was an adjudicator and avid attendee of the Bill W. friends for over 30 years.  She was a devoted mom when it came to athletic support, spelling help, being in our business, protecting us and shielding us kids from harm as best a mom could do.  She also let us go when the time seemed right; so we family must let her go, for now.  For we believe she has gone to where she must go, the next step of her journey starts now.

Mary is survived by 3 heartfelt loving children. Jamie, Breandan and Stephanie and 8 beautiful grandchildren who will miss her eagerness to share insight or suggestions, problem solving, long stories from her days' errands over the phone, ancestry facts and names.
