Mary E. Langan aka Sr. Geraldine Marie, CSJ of Framingham, formerly of Scituate, passed peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, June 24th.

Loving Daughter of the late Michael B. Langan and late Mary Courtney Langan of Newton, formerly of Ireland.

Dear Sister of the late Daniel F. and Mary Ellen Langan of Newton, the late Peter M. and late Agnes Langan, the late John B. Langan, the late John and late Anne Herring, the late William and late Evelyn Coughlin and Thomas F. and Priscilla J. McCoy of Plymouth.

Loving Aunt of 22 nieces and nephews and their spouses and many cherished cousins, extended family and dear friends.

Mary is a graduate of Sacred Heart School of Newton Center and Regis College, Weston where she continued with her vows as a Sister of St. Joseph. Mary taught in the Waltham Public Schools where she educated hundreds of children whom she loved as her own. She spent her life sharing the love of Jesus to all who would listen and she cared for all who came her way. Mary loved and lived near the ocean where she opened her home to many, both friends and strangers over the years.

The family is forever grateful for the care Mary received at St.Patrick's Manor.

Family and Friends are invited to attend visiting hours Friday, June 30 between 9 and 9:45am at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home 1 Summer Street , Cohasset, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday at 10 am at St. Anthony's Parish in Cohasset. Mary will be laid to rest at Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline.
