Matthew F. Flaherty, age 92, of Scituate, passed away on November 28, 2021. Beloved husband of 46 years to the late Marie S. (Scanlon) Flaherty, who was the "love of his life". Son of the late Matthew M. and Anna E. (Diehl) Flaherty. Matthew was a graduate of Cathedral High School and proud graduate of Boston College. Mr. Flaherty retired after a long career at the Hingham District Court as the Chief Probation Officer. Family and friends are invited to a visiting hour on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021 from 9 am-10:15 am in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St, Scituate Harbor. Interment Private Mount Benedict Cemetery, Boston.
