Obituary

The family is very saddened to announce that our mother Maura Prouty passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at the age of 82 on Monday, February 19th, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. She is survived by her two children Micaela McGrath and Nicholas Dullea, her husband Dr. Robert Prouty, her first husband and father of her children Mark Dullea, and her 3 brothers Francis Corbett, William Corbett, Dr. Kevin Corbett and all of their families. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brock Dullea, Charlotte Dullea, Benjamin Parsons, Tiffany Parsons, Bella Paige and Max D'Angelo. Maura was daughter to her parents Francis and Eileen Corbett.

She had an incredibly kind soul and a beautiful smile that would light up the room, and she will be dearly missed by her family and everyone whose lives she touched. Maura grew up in Scituate and lived for a time in Charlestown and Marshfield before moving to Norwell with her family. After graduating from ArchBishop Williams High School she went on to receive her nursing degree at St Elizabeths followed by her bachelor's degree at Emmanuel College. Maura then went on to have a very successful career as an RN at Carney Hospital and in the latter part of her career worked in the Continuing Care Department of Carney.

She lived an incredibly full life and was always surrounded by friends and family. She was the best mother I could ask for. She loved her family, and her garden, and her cats, and her summers on the boat with her husband Bob and the amazing full life they shared together. She was a wonderful mother, wife, mentor, artist, and too many other things to list, and she will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched.

Her funeral mass will be held at Glastonbury Abbey at 16 Hull Street in Hingham, MA Thursday, April 4th at 10:00 A.M.
