Maureen Frances (Keefe) Lennerton, age 81, a 56 year resident of Norwell, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2012 with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Maureen was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Lennerton and the devoted mother of Kathleen M. Lennerton, Robert H. Lennerton, Jr, and Arthur and his wife Kathy, all of Norwell and the late Anne Marie Lennerton. She was the loving Nana of Allyson and Samantha. She is also survived by a large extended family and many friends.

Mrs. Lennerton was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament and St. Mary High School in Cambridge and attended Burdette's School of Business in Boston. She was an avid New England Patriots fan and devoted mother and grandmother. Maureen also worked as a loving nanny for many years for the Lipschutz family in Norwell.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 10 am in St. Helen Church, 383 Washington Street., Norwell. Visiting Hours Thursday, Jan. 26 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. Interment Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell. If desired, donations may be made to the Norwell VNA & Hospice, 120 Longwater Dr., Norwell, MA. 02061 or to the American Cancer Society.
