Michael R. Lezenski of Scituate passed away peacefully on September 1, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Peabody, son of the late William & Lucille Lezenski. Michael graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1965 and received a B.S. Computer Services from Boston University in 1975.
Beloved husband of Nancy A. Testa, loving father of David M. Lezenski of Lowell and Chris R. Lezenski of Peabody and grandfather of Kristina P. Lezenski. He also is survived by his sister Evelyn Lezenski of Swampscott and by several nieces and nephews.
Michael worked at BankBoston for over 30 years, retiring as the Bank's Global Chief Information Officer in 1998. He was a born leader and enjoyed nurturing all who worked for and with him. He always went out of his way to ensure the success of each person with whom he came into contact. Following his banking career he was the Principle and Founder of Strategic Technology Decisions, providing management and technology consulting to a variety of firms and industries.
Michael enjoyed sailing and was an avid golfer and member at Hatherly Country Club. He spent his retirement trying to improve his handicap with whatever device, technique or trick came on the market.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 4-7 pm at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 10 am in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be donated to the Scituate Animal Shelter, 780 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy, Scituate, MA 02066.
