Miriam Koenig Miller passed away peacefully following a brief illness at her home in Cohasset, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, surrounded by family.  She was the beloved wife of the late D. Thomas Miller and the loving mother of Thomas  and wife Pamela of Fairfax VA, William of Basalt CO, Mary and husband Robert Ernst of Cohasset, Jill of Greenwich CT, and Lawrence and wife Lisa of Glen Ridge NJ.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Thomas Miller Jr., Christopher  and wife  Karen Miller, Catherine Miller, Gregory Ernst, Michael Ernst, Catherine Ernst, Peter Ernst, Luke Ernst, Maggie Ernst, Taylor Miller, and Peyton Miller; her sister, Stella Brice of Mount Prospect IL; and 23 nieces and 23 nephews.

She was born in Chicago IL on October 18, 1927, the youngest of seven children of the late Catherine and Lawrence Koenig.  She and her husband raised their children in Chicago, Northbrook IL, Darien CT, and Bronxville NY.  Following her husband's retirement as a television executive with CBS, they moved to Cohasset where they were parishioners at St. Anthony Catholic Church and active in Opus Dei.

The family will be receiving friends at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 11.  A funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 10 Summer Street, Cohasset, at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 12.  Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, 525 Beechwood Street, Cohasset.
