Muriel (McDougall) Desmond, age 96, of Orlando, FL formally of Scituate, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday December 19, 2015 in Orlando. Muriel was the beloved wife of the late Henry Desmond. She is survived by daughter Barbara Cox and her husband Thomas of Scituate, her son Robert and his wife Teresa of Orlando, treasured Nana of Michael Cox and his wife Susan of Belmont, MA, Matthew Cox of Vermont, Luke Desmond of California and Elizabeth Markowitz and her husband Adam of Orlando and Nana the Great to Margaret and Matthew Cox of Belmont. Brought up in Jamaica Plain, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Sarah (Boyd) McDougall and sister of the late Irving McDougall, Eileen Sullivan, Frederick McDougall and Robert McDougall. Muriel was Jack Conway's first female Realtor. She was a member of Hatherly Country Club and an avid bridge player and never to busy to make Sunday dinner for her family. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at St Anthony's Catholic Church in Cohasset at 11 am. A wake will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 from 3-7 at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St, Cohasset, MA.
