Nancy Ann (Dow) Polito, age 78, of Cohasset, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on March 3, 2015, after a brief illness. Nancy was the beloved and devoted wife of 58 years to William Polito.  A cherished and loving mother, Nancy is survived by her children, William J. and his wife the late June of Bridgewater, Richard B. of Hull, James A. of Abington, Catherine Caramanica and husband James of Marion, and Michael J. and wife Regina of Hanson. She was the loving sister of Theodore Dow of Rhode Island, Lesley Franke and Phyllis Madden of Marshfield, Alan Dow of Hanover, and the late Phillip and Doris Dow. Nancy was adored by her grandchildren, Jessica Caramanica, and Anthony, Lea, William, and Michael Polito.

Mrs. Polito worked and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Claims Processor. She also enjoyed working for Holiday Hang-ups in Scituate.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 10 am in St. Anthony's Church. Visiting hours Monday, March 9, 2015 from 4-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 South Main St. (off Summer St, across from St. Anthony's Church), Cohasset. At the request of the family, interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Nancy may be made to It's All About The Animals, Inc. 103 Marion Rd, Rochester, MA 02770.
