Nicholas Wayne Brooks
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicholas Wayne Brooks, 73, who passed away peacefully at South Shore Hospital Hospice care after having spent the day with his family by his side on April 11th, 2025.
Born in Bangor, Maine on July 3rd, 1951, he was the son of William and Minnie Brooks. He attended Southern New Hampshire University taking classes in Forestry after graduating from Norwell High School in 1970.
He then attended Wentworth Institute of Technology obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Prior to his retirement, Nick worked for C. Spirito of Hingham, Ma for the last 20 years as a Foreman, Project Manager, and Excavation Supervisor. He also worked at Green Environmental and for many years, the Town of Norwell.
He loved his family, working in his yard, his many pets over his lifetime, and listening to his favorite "oldies" music, especially The Beach Boys! He was also an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed watching the Patriots. He was ever ready to help his friends and neighbors. He lived in Norwell for 67 years. He was the beloved husband of his wife Sandra Brooks for 39 years.
He leaves behind his wife, and his two beloved daughters Sarah Brooks of Norwell and Crystal Brooks of Braintree, as well as his precious granddaughter Issabella Kelliher-Brooks of Norwell. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Julia Mair of New York City.
He was well loved in the community and leaves many friends and relatives that he cherished.
A viewing will be held at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home 30 Central Street, Norwell, Ma from 1pm-4pm on Saturday April 19th 2025. Please join us in celebrating Nicks life following the viewing from 4:30pm-7pm at Imperial Garden in Hanover (his favorite spot!) Snacks to be provided.
