Norma Joseph Wadsworth, age 84, of Virginia, formerly of Norwell, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 6, 2011 at her daughter Nancy's home in Virginia. Wife of the late Loring Lyman "Spike" Wadsworth, she was the beloved mother of: Marsha and husband, Michael Barrett of Middleboro, MA., Deborah Wadsworth-McGrath and husband, Edward of Middleboro, MA., Linda Keaton and husband, Francis of Nevada, Joseph Lyman Wadsworth II and wife, Janet of Hull, MA., Susan Wadsworth Tubman and husband, Charles of Patten, Maine, Phillip Loring Wadsworth and wife, Donna of Plymouth, MA., Nancy Branham and husband, Thelmar "Johnny" of Virginia, Loring Lyman Wadsworth, Jr. of Easton. Adoring grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Daughter of the late Percey and Florence Joseph.
Norma was very kind and loving. She was born and raised in Norwell and attended Norwell Schools. She worked for a number of years as a telephone operator on the Norwell Switchboard. She and her husband were the former owners of Sparrell Funeral Homes in Norwell and Cohasset.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at 1 pm in Washington Street Cemetery, Rt. 53, Norwell, MA. 02061. Donations to Norwell VNA & Hospice, 120 Longwater Cir, Norwell, MA. 02061 or to a charity of one's choice.
