Obituary

Patricia Mailliard Jones, of Scituate, born San Francisco, CA July 25, 1925, passed away January 27, 2017 at Life Care of the South Shore at the age of 91 1/2 years. Daughter of A. Page Mailliard and Mildred Bright Minnigerode, Step daughter of Meade Minnigerode, Sister to Richard Mailliard of Yorkville, CA. She was the wife of deceased Ralston Permar Jones JR. She is survived by her three sons Ralston Jones, Sharpless Jones, Edward Jones and daughter Leslie Brigham as well as Daughter in Law Gail Jones, Wendy Ashcroft, Melenie LeCuyer and son in law Steven W. Brigham. Grandmother of Michael Brighton, wife Jess and two children of Atlanta GA., Ralston Jones of Plymouth, Ashley Ralston Jones of Charlestown, Steven R. Brigham of Quincy, Benjamin W. Brigham of Scottsdale AZ and Samuel P. Brigham of Scituate MA, C. Sharpless Jones IV of Newport RI., and the late Allyson Jones.

A brief list achievements include; Cohasset Cub Scout Den Mother, Cohasset Red Cross Swimming, Scituate Camp Fire Girl and Brownie Leader, Hatherly Country Club Junior Girls Golf Organizer, Volunteer for Scituate Conservation Commission, Scituate Archives and Preservation of Scituate Heritage. Pat was well known for hosting the Jones family News Years Day Party held at her home on Buttonwood Lane. The party included a road race from The Eliot Lounge in Boston and ended 25 miles later at her home with a 7 piece Jazz Band that played into the wee-hours. Notable participants included 3 past Boston Marathons winners. She attended Pratt High in Essex Connecticut and Barnard College in New York. Pat Jones was one of Jack Conway first office managers. She was member of the Plymouth County Board of Realtors; past President of the Women's Council of Realtors, Mass Board of Real Estate Appraisers, accepted as an expert appraisal court witness and Owner of Jones Appraisal Service in Plymouth MA for over 32 years.

Pat grew up as a child in New York City, a youth in Essex Connecticut and summered occasionally in San Francisco and on her father's Ranch in Yorkville, CA

Nana Jones was a lover of nature and watching birds at her feeders. She owned 6 generations of Golden Retrievers. Hank, her surviving Golden is an appreciated visitor a Life Care of the South Shore.

A celebration of her life will be held at her home on 24 Buttonwood Lane, Scituate, Sunday January 29th at 2:00PM. Gifts in Memory of Mrs. Ralston Jones, former Patricia Mailliard, The great-granddaughter of William Chapman Ralston, be made to:
