Paul Hartwell, age 65, passed away suddenly at home in Scituate, MA. Paul was a longtime resident of Scituate and graduate of Scituate High School.

Paul was born in Boston, MA to the late Kenneth G. Hartwell and Claire M. Hartwell. Paul is survived by his brothers Timothy Hartwell, of Scituate, MA, and Kevin Hartwell (Meg) of Ashland, MA. He is also survived by his nephews Eric (Cara) and Tyler (Jocelyn) Hartwell of Scituate, MA and his niece Jaimie Hartwell of Boston, MA.

Paul worked for Boston Five Cents Savings Bank/Citizens Bank NA for 33 years and held positions in banking operations and accounting. Paul enjoyed spending time with his nephews when they visited their grandparents and spent many hours with them in the backyard pool and watching movies. He was also an avid Boston sports fan and participated in fantasy baseball and football pools with his friends. He liked to analyze player statistics to achieve the best outcome for his draft picks.

When his father passed away in 2018, Paul became a full-time caregiver to his mother who had dementia. He managed all her care needs and selflessly spent time with her, took her to medical appointments and visited her when she was in the hospital and in rehabilitation facilities.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 2 Summer Street, Cohasset, MA on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 10:30am.
