Paul E.Hogan, of Norwell, age 83, passed away on October 31, 2013 at home. Beloved husband of Patricia Ann (Coughlin) Hogan of Norwell and cherished father of Patricia Marie Conway of Norwell, Mark R. Hogan of Weymouth, Stephen G. Hogan of Braintree and Paul D. Hogan of Medfield. Brother of Elizabeth A. Foley, Richard Hogan, Edward Hogan, and the late John J. Hogan, and Doris Lallier. Grandfather of nine beautiful granddaughters and one handsome grandson. Great-grandfather of three boys and one girl.

Paul was a Braintree resident for forty seven years before moving to Norwell. He had a long distinguished career holding numerous management positions in the Stop & Shop Companies. After his retirement, he established another career for ten years as a real estate broker. He was a proud US Army Korean veteran. Paul was an avid boater and fisherman, he played tennis for 25 years with the Weymouth Tennis Club's Early Bird Group. He loved all Boston sports teams and enjoyed keeping up with the local politics. Paul was also a regular communicant of St. Helen's Church in Norwell.  He will be remembered as a devoted husband and caring father, who was always there for his family. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to know him.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 9 am in St. Helen Church, 383 Washington Street (Rt 53), Norwell, MA. 02061. Visiting hours Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 from 2-5 pm in the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree
