Paul R. Neelon of Pocasset, Massachusetts, died at home at the age of 88 on January 15, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Fridlington Neelon, four children-Daniel, Katherine, Michael and Christopher- eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and his brother David Neelon. Paul graduated from Waltham High School. He attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Upon graduation and completion of the NROTC program, he served as a U.S. Naval officer. He later joined his father, Roger Neelon, in family companies that focused on real estate development. During this time, he earned his M.B.A from Babson College. Together with family members, he developed office buildings, primarily in Waltham along the Route 128 beltway. Through other family companies, they also owned and operated the Hingham Shipyard and associated marinas until their sale in the mid-1990s. Paul had spearheaded the modernization and expansion of Hewitts Cove Marina at the Hingham Shipyard. A private memorial service will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Cohasset. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the Salvation Army-Hyannis, 100 North Street, P.O. Box 369, Hyannis, MA, 02061.
