Pauline (Hill) Doggett, 89, of Utah, formerlyof Cohasset, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2013.





Born in Boston in 1924. Daughter of Cyril S. Hill and Alice (Cochrane) Hill. "Polly" lived her early years in Waltham, later in Belmont, Massachusetts. A graduate of Simmons College in 1947, she was in charge of the East Branch Library in Watertown, Massachusetts until her marriage in 1954 to Thomas A. Doggett of Watertown.





Mrs. Doggett made her home in Cohasset where she was a charter member of the Cohasset Community Garden Club and the League of Women Voters. For eight years she was a leader in the Cohasset and Hingham cub scouts and was a member of the Pro Family Forum of the South Shore.





Mrs. Doggett became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) in 1970. Active at the Hingham Ward she was a "Visiting Teacher", a Relief Society board member, a Stake Primary board member, and for many years was Public Communications Director both at the local and Stake level.





She has been preceded in death by her husband but leaves her two sons, Peter Hill of Burbank California and Dana DeWolf of Orem, Utah, six grand children, Thomas, Martha, Hana, Alexandra, Conner, and Robert, and three great-grand children.





There will be a memorial service at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street, Cohasset, Massachusetts, on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11 am preceded by a viewing at 10am. Interment will follow at the Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree, Massachusetts.
