Peter J. Waters, age 94, a long-time resident of Norwell, passed away unexpectedly after a sudden automobile accident on May 29, 2014. Mr. Waters was the owner of the Norwell Shell Service Station on Rt. 53 in Norwell for over 50 years. He served in the US Navy from Sept. 1941 until Nov. 1961. He loved all animals and often cared for any and all strays. He is survived by his extended family in Maine, but also his close friends and long-time employees; Bernard "BJ" Roussos of Norwell, Paul Martin of Hanover, and Scott Oberg of Norwell.
A Memorial wake will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 4-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center, with a service at 7 pm. Interment private.
