Phyllis M. King

Phyllis M. King, age 91, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026. Phyllis was born in Quincy on October 16, 1934. She was a resident of Scituate for 50 years.

Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” King. Loving mother of Suzanne and her husband Adam of Hingham and Micheal of Quincy. Loving grandmother to Hannah, Nathaniel and Benjamin. Caring sister to Michael and of the late Anthony Angelis. Daughter of the late Michael and Clara Angelis of Quincy. Also survived by her nieces and a nephew.

Phyllis enjoyed day trips and extended car trips with her husband Bill. Her favorite trips were traveling to Maine in the fall, as well as spending winters in Sanibel Island Florida. Phyllis loved reading and spent many hours in the Scituate Public Library. Phyllis loved cooking and shared her love of both cooking and reading with her children and grandchildren. Conversations always included “what’s for dinner tonight, or what are you cooking today.” We all loved eating the meals she prepared over the years. She loved walking Minot Beach with her husband and sitting on a bench overlooking the harbor at the lighthouse. She will be greatly missed by her family and grandchildren.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Phyllis may be made to the Scituate Library Foundation at:
