R. Curtis Fithian, 81 of Duxbury, formerly of N. Falmouth and Hingham, passed away on December 22, 2012 at home.  Beloved husband of Jane and the loving father of Stephen and wife, Lisa of Plantation, FL., Bruce and wife Cheri of Braintree, the late Scott and his surviving wife, Arlene of Cohasset, Lynn and husband John of Marshfield, and Todd and wife Debbie of Marshfield.  Brother of Peter S. Fithian of Hawaii and Paul Vaughn of California.  Grandfather of 13, Matthew, Daland, Michael, Stephen, Jr., Sara, Emily, Andrew, Caleb, Kayla, Ryan, Kelly, Nathan, and William.

Mr. Fithian was a graduate of Newton High School and the University of New Hampshire.  He had a long career as a financial advisor, working for the New England Life Agency of Downing and Desautels.  Mr. Fithian loved spending time with his family, most notably playing with and watching his 13 grandchildren in numerous activities.  He also had a tremendous passion for sports, especially the Boston teams.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 28 at 11 a.m. in the Pilgrim Church of Duxbury, 404 Washington Street. Private interment at Cohasset Central Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Curt's name to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370.
