Ralph B. Hill- of Cohasset, formerly of Ipswich, died Dec. 19, 2010 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Lydia E. (Gross) and loving father of Pamela Hill and her husband, Alexander Koines of Cohasset, R. Jonathan Hill and his wife, Audrey of Denver, CO, and grandfather of Chloe Koines,and Kimberly, Jameson and Alexandra Hill.
Ralph was a graduate of Umass Amherst, Class of 1940 and Manning High School, Ipswich, Class of 1936. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander at age 28. He commanded two minesweepers in the Pacific before serving as a mine expert on Rear Admiral Struble's staff on the USS Paniment. After the war, his successful business career included U.S. Rubber Co.,Weyerhauser Co. and his own, Ralph B. Hill.Co. which conducted international and domestic sales.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at 2 pm in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Cohasset.
