Obituary

Ray F. Litchfield, age 67, of Scituate, passed away after a long battle with heart disease. He was the owner of Ray's Repair Shop in Scituate for many years. Often referred to as the "Mayor of the West End", Ray loved his neighborhood and community, but most of all, his family.

Son of the late Ray F. Litchfield and Mary (O'Donnell) Litchfield, Ray is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Lillian (Bove) Litchfield, his children, Genevieve Murphy and her husband, John, of Scituate, Ray F. Litchfield III and his wife, Amy (Young), of Lords Valley, PA, son Christopher and daughter Rebecca, both of Scituate. He is also survived by his four precious grandchildren, Ray, Benjamin and Isabella Litchfield and Lilly Murphy and his loving aunt, Lillian Rowe of Milford, many cousins, uncles and countless friends.

Visiting hours

Visiting hours will be held at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, One Summer Street, Cohasset, on Saturday, October 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association, The Jimmy Fund, or to Sacred Heart School, 75 Commercial St., Weymouth.

Service Information

A Memorial service for Ray will be held at the First Baptist Church, 660 Country Way, Scituate on Sunday, October 31st at 1 p.m.

Following the service, burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery on Clapp Road in Scituate.
