Richard J. McKinnon of Cohasset, age 92, passed away on June 16 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Fahey McKinnon, married for 67 years; his son Bruce and his wife Patricia McKinnon of Cohasset. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Richard was pre-deceased by his sisters Lorraine and Janice and brothers Donald and David. Richard was a Deputy Superintendent of the Boston Police Dept with a 32-year career. Upon retirement, he was Director of Security at St Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton, Mass. Richard served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II.

Richard's wake will be held on Tuesday,  June 19, 2018 at McNamara – Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main Street (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, Mass from 4 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Anthony's Church in Cohasset on Wednesday,  June 20, 2018 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to support the professional care givers at Norwell Visiting Nurses Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, Mass 02061.
