Richard M. "Dick" Poland, age 77, of Cohasset, passed away on October 7, 2012. Beloved husband of 40 years to Charlene (Leavitt). Cherished uncle of Nancy Newman and her husband, John of Holbrook, Barbara Mullen and husband Frank of Hanover, Donna Vieweg and husband Edward of Pelham, NH.,  Melicent Kiser and  her late husband Ron of Lacey WA, Peter Rounds and his wife Laurie of Anchorage, AK, Dana and his wife Susan of Vacaville, CA, and the late Philip Rounds and his wife Bess of Fairbanks, AK.  Also survived by his great niece, Jennifer Mullen, and great nephew's, Brian Newman, Brandon Newman, and Sean Mullen.

Dick worked for and retired from Bay State Gas Co., and also worked for the Town of Cohasset in later years at municipal facilities.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 12:30 pm
in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. Visiting hours Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 from 4-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, Cohasset. Interment Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA. 02472.
