Richard F. Power, age 65, of Marshfield, passed away on December 6, 2016. Loving son of the late Tileston C. and Elizabeth (Farthing) Power. Beloved husband of Joan (Hamblen) Power. Adoring father of Sarah Thibault and husband Matthew of Hanover and Stephanie Balsam and husband Adam of Boston. Grandfather of Elizabeth and Nathan Thibault, and Arlo and Hugh Balsam. Brother of Mary Jane Riordan of Marshfield and twin brother, William Power of Charleston, SC. Son-in-law of Mary Rondileau of Marshfield.

Dick was a graduate of Norwell High School and Salem State University. He taught for many years at Hanover High School and was a District Manager for Hitchcock Chair Co. He also worked in sales for the Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. in the New England area and more recently had worked for William Raveis Real Estate. He was a former member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Marshfield. Dick found a great deal of support through his involvement in the Cancer Support Community of the South Shore where he was instrumental in fundraising and awareness, and became a source of strength and support to others.

A Gathering of Friends and Family to Celebrate Richard will be held on Wednesday, December 14th at 11am at the Cushing Center, 673 Main St., Norwell, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor him may be made to the Pat Roche Hospice Home, 86 Turkey Hill Lane, Hingham, MA 02043 or to the Cancer Support Community, Massachusetts South Shore, 120 Longwater Drive, Ste. 104, Norwell, MA 02061.
