Richard C. "Rick" Garland, of Marshfield, formerly of Braintree, age 73, passed away on March 1, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Deanna O. (Higgs) Garland and devoted Father of Sean C. Garland of Marshfield, Sara A. Garland and husband Nick Black of Milton, and Ryan W. Garland of Marshfield. Loving grandfather of Henry and Emma Black.

Mr. Garland was a graduate of Braintree High School and Eastern Nazarene College. He worked in the printing department for John Hancock in Boston. In his retirement, Rick enjoyed scuba diving and devoted many hours as a volunteer at the New England Aquarium.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 11am-12:30 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center, MA. 02061.
