Richard W. Vines, age 83, of Scituate, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Diane B. Vines and devoted father of Richard F. Vines and wife Therese of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Geoff S. Vines of Chicago, Illinois. Adored grandfather of Yeshe, Eden, and Senna Vines all of Amsterdam. Brother of the late Elizabeth Vines and William Vines. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Richard was very active in the Scituate Historical Society and worked for years at Massachusetts Engineering Company.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 1 - 2:00 pm followed by an 2 pm service in the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. 02025. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Richard may be made to the Scituate Historical Society, PO Box 276, Scituate, MA. 02066 or to Norwell VNA & Hospice, 120 Longwater Dr., Norwell, MA. 02061.
