Rita M. (Harney) Corcoran, age 93, of Quincy, Boston, and Hull, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2016. Beloved wife of the late George E. Corcoran. Beloved mother of Diane M. O'Malley and husband Terence P. of Quincy, Debra A. Heffernan and husband James J. of Millis, and the late James M. Corcoran. Sister of the late Dorothy Gallant. Grandmother of Rachel O'Malley of Quincy, Matthew O'Malley of New York City, James Heffernan of Hopedale, Kevin Heffernan of the U.S. Army, Shannon Heffernan of Brighton, and Sean Heffernan of Millis.

Mrs. Corcoran worked for forty years at State Street Bank in Boston before her retirement.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Rita may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
