Robert J. Butterworth, 67, of Homosassa, FL and Scituate, MA passed away at home on December 22nd after a long battle with cancer.

He was the loving father of Kelly (Nolan) of Scituate MA, Bryan (Jacqueline) of Holly Springs NC and David Butterworth (Lisa) of Carver MA.   "Bubs" leaves behind his greatest treasures his nine grandchildren; Liam Jack & Ryan Kelly, Thomas & James Butterworth, Carter, Hazel, Troy & Ajay Butterworth.

Bob was born in Quincy, MA on December 3rd 1951, to the late J. Marshall and Louise M. (Kelly) Butterworth.  He is an alumnus of Scituate High School and American International.  He spent his career in the cutting tool industry.  In his spare time Bob was an avid sports fan and supporter of his children's many athletic endeavors.  He was a voracious reader, loved playing golf and hearing about his grandchildren's adventures.

He is survived by his four siblings, Marsha Benedetti of Homosassa, FL, William Butterworth of Homosassa, FL, Barbara West of Dunnellon, FL and twin brother Richard J. Butterworth of Ipswich, MA and many nieces and nephews.  Bob and his nephew Dan Benedetti of Sarasota FL shared a special bond.

There will be a funeral mass on Saturday, January, 5th  at 10am at St. Mary's of the Nativity Church in Scituate MA.
