Robert Norman Dunbar, Junior, of Scituate, MA passed peacefully on July 15, 2024.  Born April 3, 1936, to Robert Norman Dunbar, Sr. and Ellen Quist. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Diane of 64 years.   Bob's family and dear friends were paramount to his life.  He leaves his children, Michael Dunbar and his wife Susan, Caroline Tracy and her husband Peter, Suzanne Fennelly and her husband Daniel along with 5 grandchildren, Melissa Lee and her husband Ryan, Max Dunbar and his partner Amy Haskell, Eric Tracy, Alexandra Buonocore and her husband Chris, and Samuel Fennelly.  He is the loving brother of Dennis Dunbar and his wife Carole and stepbrother to Terry McCann and his wife Joal as well as uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Bob had an extraordinary life.  He loved travelling with Diane and their family, sailing his boat, puttering and tinkering in his house, spending time with his grandchildren and always keeping an eye on the stock market.  Bob spent 30 years of his career as Vice President and Chartered Financial Analyst for Eaton Vance.  Prior to Eaton Vance, he was an Officer in the United States Army, Graduate of Northeastern University and Graduate of the Trust School at Northwestern University and worked at Worcester County National Bank where he met Diane during a company bowling league.  Bob was a member of the Boston Security Analysts Association, Chartered Financial Analysts of America, and Northeastern Alumni Association where he proudly was honored as a Golden Graduate by his granddaughter Melissa.

Bob spent the last of his years caring for Diane.  He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He will be dearly missed.

A private service will be held for the family.  A celebration of life for friends and family will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Dana Farber Cancer Center or Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham, MA.
