Robert C. Gallagher, D.M.D. of Scituate after an extended illness on July 26, 2010; beloved husband of 36 years of Jeanne M. (Scally)Gallagher and adored father of Kathleen E. and Leah K., both of New York City, and Robert C., Jr. of Scituate. He also leaves behind his sister Pauline Payonzeck, of Williamsburg, VA, his brother William J. Gallagher, Jr. of Waltham, MA, and their families. Born and raised in Newton,Ma by William J. and Elizabeth M.(Kent), owners of Honeywell Market.

Bobby graduated from St. Sebastian's Country Day School, Class of '62, College of the Holy Cross Class of '66, and Tufts University Class of '70. He was a proud veteran of the Army. He recently retired this past fall from his dental practice located in Weymouth. He considered it an honor to have served his patients for 39 years. He was especially proud to have served generations of families. Throughout his life he enjoyed volunteering for various organizations. We will miss his humor, kindess, and humble manner.

Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony's Church), Cohasset.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Scituate Etrusco, 1 Common St., Scituate, MA. 02066 where he volunteered for many years, or The Scituate Animal Shelter, 780 CJC Hwy., Scituate, MA. 02066 as he was a great animal lover.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 30 at 10 am in St. Anthony's Church, Cohasset.
