Robert W. Gledhill, of Scituate, formerly of Cohasset, age 64, passed away on June 20, 2015. Beloved husband for 41 years of Meredith (Browne) Gledhill. Devoted father of Robert Tucker Gledhill and wife Kattyuska of Scituate, Edward Browne Gledhill and wife Rachel of Beverly. Brother of Pam Anthony, Nancy Leonard, and Richard Gledhill. Grandfather of Penelope Rose Lawrence-Gledhill and Robert Christian Gledhill.

Mr. Gledhill was a graduate of Waltham High School, where he excelled in sports. A star athlete, he is a member of the Waltham Athletic Hall of Fame for Track and Field. He went on to New Hampton Prep School in New Hampshire, and was an All American Track and Field star at Univ. of Texas, El Paso. Mr. Gledhill was a prominent South Shore Builder and a member of the Cohasset Golf Club. He was known throughout Cohasset for his generosity.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours immediately prior to the Mass, from 8 – 10 am in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church on Summer St). Cohasset, MA. 02025.
